Environmental Education
How We Teach
EcoSolutions uses a variety of methods to instil in students a love for the environment and an awareness of how they can protect it.
The purpose of our school-based education is to empower students to be actively involved in developing a sustainable future for Aotearoa.
We create learning situations selecting from the teaching strategies of:
· Investigation: e.g., around school waste issues, packaging in lunchboxes
· Enquiry: e.g. data collection of litter on or near school grounds
· Knowledge building: e.g. demonstrations, visits to resource recovery centres
· Interactive learning: e.g. school garden, compost building, worm farms following enquiry and investigative work.
Book your lesson with us today!
Simply pick the lesson you would like for your class and find a time that suits both you and your educator. We are working on a booking sheet for each educator.
In the meantime, if your rohe does not have a link to an online booking system, ring or email the educator in your rohe to book your lessons.
With the support of the Far North and the Whangarei District Councils, EcoSolutions is able to provide free environmental education to schools and ECEs in these districts.
