Wash Not Waste

Wash Not Waste is a zero-waste management for events with a wrap-around 10 step zero-waste management plan + reuse food and drink-ware system.

What Is It?
Our wrap around zero waste service has a 10 step system with support materials including stallholder guides, waste management plans, recycling ambassador training, post event waste audits and reporting providing a framework for improvement; designed to mentor events to reduce waste and create a climate positive culture.

On the day we can provide event recycling stations/ lids and tailored event management. We also provide supportive education to the general public; with awareness raising media before the event, clear recycling stations, signage and recycling ambassadors.

A single mobile wash station , providing three recycling stations would be ample for most local events while larger events would be serviced by more than one wash station.

We also remove all compostable and recyclable waste from the event as part of our service.

Fully Equipped Mobile Stations
Each trailer will store 3-6 recycle stations for event waste reduction services to divert recyclables (compostables / aluminium / glass) with bags supplied to refresh bins and process serve-ware.

Stainless steel/silicone/recyclable plastic reuse containers included to cater food and drink for 1000 people (or more, as dishes are washed and bins are changed).

On-board mobile commercial kitchen, fresh/grey water tanks, two dishwashers to enable wash & reuse.

Ability to also service school lunch providers.

Kai-Friendly Compost
Wash not Waste will increase compost availability for food production projects.

With no PLA packaging entering our compost bins, the compost we make from event waste won’t need to be tested for PFAS and other toxins, and can instead create soil which we utilise in workshops creating gardens for local kindergartens, kura and marae. This also means less compostable serve-ware going to landfill.

Where Is It?
