Green Drinks
Green Drinks serves as a global grassroots networking initiative that brings together individuals monthly with a shared commitment to environmental sustainability in a relaxed social setting.
Held on the 3rd Tuesday of every month. Hosting alternates between Eco Solutions and Tai Tokerau Timebank.

Come and see Timebank member Casey Wyeth's recently completed unique cob cottage. We'll start a little early to see the earthen sculptures (including a dragon) on the exterior walls before it gets too dark. Afterwards will be a slide show in the main house showing the techniques used to make this tiny home using recycled construction materials.
For those who would like to stay on, there will be a potluck dinner in the main house, and disco dance party inside the Hobbit Cobbin.
Please park at the end of Commins Road (near a group of mail boxes) and walk down the long drive to the tall pole house at #35. It is recommended that you bring a torch!

Bokashi Composting Workshop
Saturday, 27 June | Woodhill Community Garden | 48 Fifth Avenue, Whangārei | 9.30-10.30am
Join composting educator, Judy Keats, and team players at Woodhill Community Garden, to learn how to use a Bokashi compost system. Judy will share the processes and the benefits of using Bokashi fermentation for boosting the health of your plants and speeding up decomposition in your standard compost. There is also the option to make your own DIY version.

Crafting a Zero Waste Christmas
Date TBC | 10-12:30pm | He Awhi Rito Envirohub
We're running a workshop to look at fun ways to reduce the amount of waste we create this Christmas. We'll be creating re-usable/compostable wrapping and decorations that's personalised to you and your whānau.
There will be a variety of craft stations and everything you make on the day you can take home with you for free.
There will be activities for all ages. Bring the whole family and get creative in reducing your waste this Christmas - while making everything more personalised and fun!
Entry is free and you get to keep everything that you make on the day.

A&P Summer Show
Come find us at the A&P show! We'll be there providing free recycling and waste advice. As well as answering all your questions about composting and making your own zero-waste products. If you've missed any of our events this year, this is your chance to ask us about any of them. We'll also have an activity station to keep the kids entertained while you chat to us.
