Green Drinks serves as a global grassroots networking initiative that brings together individuals monthly with a shared commitment to environmental sustainability in a relaxed social setting.
Held on the 3rd Tuesday of every month. Hosting alternates between EcoSolutions and Tai Tokerau Timebank.

Children’s Day is all about bringing our community together to celebrate all tamariki with a fun, free and interactive day. Ecosolutions will be hosting a stall where kids can come along and learn how to save plastic from our ocean with our interactive game.

Global Recycling Day Talk

Celebrate Global Recycling Day with us and improve your knowledge.
Get all your questions answered when it comes to recycling and ways to minimise waste in your home. There will be a fun quiz to test your knowledge and you'll receive a recycling brochure to take home with you.

Climate Action Tai Tokerau Conference

Join us for our two-day conference, where the main theme is climate and economy. The two main areas of the economy we are focusing on are kai and energy. You can also expect presentations and workshops that support the kaupapa.
EcoSolutions will be hosting a workshop on the Friday afternoon around how to Love Food, Hate Waste. There will be demos and food tasting as a part of this workshop at He Awhi Rito Envirohub.

Come along and learn how to make & mend with us! No experience required. Bring along your own sewing machine or use ours. Focus will be on the activity of the month.
This month we'll be making a reversible bucket hat. A range of fabrics donated by Intercept will be provided.

Caretakers' Workshop

Working in schools, we find that many of our caretakers are facing the same challenges. We want to support our caretakers by bringing them together to solve those challenges together, especially when it comes to waste in our schools.
Art Beat
Sat 12th April | 10am - 3pm | Reyburn House & Town Basin Waterfront
A vibrant event at the Whangarei Town Basin with an Arts Carnival featuring a treasure trove of unique, locally made art from talented Northland artists, Free arts activities including pottery, painting, drawing, and other creative pursuits, Live Music and Street Performances.
EcoSolutions will be hosting an info stall where you can make a 'trash sculpture' with us, using disposable coffee cups to highlight what an issue these are when it comes to waste.

Race around the Whangarei CBD for up to two hours while competing for prizes and completing micro-volunteering activities for community organisations.

Every Bite is a month-long facilitated programme, where you will carry out simple experiments at home to better understand and prevent your food waste.

Crafting a Zero Waste Christmas
We're running a workshop to look at fun ways to reduce the amount of waste we create this Christmas. We'll be creating re-usable/compostable wrapping and decorations that's personalised to you and your whānau.
There will be a variety of craft stations and everything you make on the day you can take home with you for free.
There will be activities for all ages. Bring the whole family and get creative in reducing your waste this Christmas - while making everything more personalised and fun!
Entry is free and you get to keep everything that you make on the day.

A&P Summer Show
Come find us at the A&P show! We'll be there providing free recycling and waste advice. As well as answering all your questions about composting and making your own zero-waste products. If you've missed any of our events this year, this is your chance to ask us about any of them. We'll also have an activity station to keep the kids entertained while you chat to us.
